If you have long been associated with AI For You, you would probably remember our article on the collaboration between Apple and OpenAI. If you don’t, we’d recommend you read it out here before we give you the latest updates on the partnership between these two giants!
In the first week of July, Apple was rumored to have secured the role of an ‘Observer’ on the OpenAI board, meaning they could attend board meetings but would not have the right to vote. This would give Apple much more information about the inner workings of OpenAI, which could be integral for a successful integration between the firms.

However, the latest development is that Apple’s rival Microsoft which already held the same position has given up its seat due to concerns about anti-trust laws. The increasing liaisons between AI and Tech companies brought them under the watch of regulators, leading to this decision by Microsoft. Certain reports also suggest that Apple will no longer take up the position due to similar concerns.
Stay tuned with AI For You, to find out how the situation unfolds further.
