Apple's ChatGPT or ChatGPT's Apple?

Apple share prices recently touched record high. Some of it can definitely be blamed on its recent announcements.

Apple recently announced its partnership with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and how they are planning to incorporate it into its Siri Voice assistant.

They plan to develop a personalised AI system for apple users to help them navigate their way around their products easily. They are calling this Apple Intelligence.

Apple Intelligence is not like other apps that users will have to download. This new creation will already be embedded well within the products allowing the users a much better experience.

The image above is one such example. The uses of this are limitless. Whether you want to refine your texts or ask for a recipe from scratch, all can be done through this new era of generative AI.

Elon Musk’s reaction

If AI is brought up and you don’t hear Musk’s name then surely it is not worth the hype.

Elon said that he’ll ban the use of Apple products in his workspace mentioning that Apple doesn’t know what it is doing by handing over its data to OpenAI.

It seems a little aggressive, right? Well, trust me from where he stands, it is not. He shared the image above on his Twitter account mentioning that the data originators no longer have the option to keep their data classified anymore. Apple will be sharing it with OpenAI given the T&C of their partnership.

Even though Apple mentioned that they’ll ensure that users’ data is safe from OpenAI one shouldn’t really trust them because if they are smart enough to do this they would have been smart enough to launch their own AI.
