India's Own AI Unicorn- Krutrim

Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Cabs has driven himself into a new venture, called Krutrim. Since you are reading about Krutrim here, you would’ve already guessed that it is somehow related to AI. So, let us dive right into what it’s all about!

Krutrim is an AI startup planning to launch its first AI chip by 2026 and has already partnered with global chipmakers Arm and Unteher AI. These chips, named Bodhi, Sarv, and Ojas based on different applications will be used for developing more efficient AI systems. The virtual assistant of Krutrim is also being integrated with scooters of Ola Electric, after the company recently went public in India. Additionally, the AI assistant will be available commercially for business houses to automate their customer care services in more than 22 languages and for individual users, to compete with Gemini and ChatGPT.

Apart from this, Krutrim also has a second arm called Krutrim Cloud. This is already the cloud service provider of Ola Cabs and Ola Electric and around 25000 other developers. Krutrim Cloud is being offered for free to all ONDC startups and SMEs for one year to promote the service. 

An entirely homegrown business, Krutrim infact became the first AI startup of India to achieve unicorn status earlier this year.
