The highly awaited Paris Olympics kickstarted yesterday, so here’s the article you’ve probably been waiting for! We spoke to you about Google’s recently launched AI Overviews in the USA a few weeks ago. If you thought the hype around AI Overviews died down, this article will prove you wrong! This is because AI Overviews has found its way into none other than the Paris Olympics 2024. If you’re intrigued, read on to find out how AI has made its entry into the biggest sports competition of all time!

AI Overviews have been included in the US Olympics broadcast, allowing commentators to use AI to explain the technical aspects of all competitions.

The media company NBCUniversal which broadcasts the Olympics in the USA also planned to provide personalized game recaps to viewers by using AI, however, that has not materialized yet. Despite this, NBC has created an AI-generated clone of the famous sports broadcaster Al Michaels to narrate daily recaps of the Summer Olympics.

Using AI for these recaps will allow broadcasters to focus more on crucial and creativity-centric tasks while harnessing technology to go over a huge amount of content and deliver recaps efficiently.

This is not all that Google has incorporated into the largest global sports competition. Stay tuned with AI For You for the second part of this article which will cover other features that Google has introduced in the Paris Olympics.
